GRAND LAKE RESULTS

JOE BASS KICKS OFF AT GRAND LAKE DESPITE HIGH WATER
Joe Bass Team Trail kicks off the 2008 season in the
high water but you can not stop the fishermen of this
great state.

The team of Tim Owens, of , and Arthur McIntyre,
of , sponsored by Owens Archery, had a 5 fish
limit with a total weight of 16.12 lbs. took first
place. They stated the spinnerbait was the bait of
choice for their team. The water was very muddy
and temp around 54 degrees. The fish were found
around the bushes.

The team of Wayne Fowler, of Springfield, Mo and Bob
Neff of Springfield MO, captured a 5 fish limit using
Chompers Jigs,
for a total weight 14.10lbs which was good enough for
second place. Wayne also received 200 dollars for
being the highest finishing CHARGER boat owner. They
fished their jig in various depths. They are sponsored
by CHARGER Boats, Chompers, and JOE BASS TEAM TRAIL.
The team of James Luper, of Grove, OK and Terry Luper,
of Eagle Rock, MO, brought in 4 fish with a total
weight of 10.98lbs which earned them third place
overall. They also weighed in a 4.23lbs bass that took
second Big Bass for the day. They used jigs all day in
the muddy water at various depths. They stated the
water temps around mid fifties all day.
Congrats also go out to the team of Trenton Whitehouse
of Bristow, Ok and Jack Smith also of Bristow, Ok who
brought in a 4.92 lbs bass to gain top honors for the
largest single bass of the day.
