JOE BASS TEAM TRAIL FACES ADVERSE APRIL WEATHER AT
LAKE OF THE OZARKS
The weather was by far better than the kickoff
tournament but conditions were still less than
perfect. Take off temperature setting at 35 degrees
and sleet greeted the anglers. Once again the Joe Bass
anglers were ready to take the challenge.

Bill McAvoy and Butch
Reynolds, both of Olathe, KS came in with the winning
stringer. They had 1st Big Bass with a weight of
5.23lbs.. The winning weight was 14.20lbs (5 fish) was
caught on spinner baits in clearer water towards the
dam area. The team weighed 5 fish and stated they
their limit by 9:15 am. They got to cull a couple of
fish to improve their string. Conditions were tough
with all the rain in the last few days but they had a
good day at weigh in.

The team of Richard and Ben Labarge of St. Charles and
St. Peter respectively came in just out of the money
with another 5 fish limit caught on spinnerbaits and
jigs to take home the $50 EVERHARTS gift cards for
being first out of the money.
Kevin Koviak, of Lake Ozark, MO and James Stanek of
Silex, MO brought in a 3.53lbs fish to take home 2nd
Big bass of the day.
Gary Phelps and Don Watson, both of Rolla, MO brought
in a 6.46lbs of fish to take home the $200 cash from
CHARGER boats for having the highest finishing
Charger. They are sponsored by Charger Boats, Marty’s
Marine and Bill Davenport.
Pro Packs from Chompers and Joe Bass Team Trail were
given out as draw prizes.
