season opener!

A Medley & S Clift

Scott Clift, Greenfield,
MO and Ashley Medley, Everton MO are familiar
competitors on Stockton lake and that knowledge of
Stockton lake helped them to win the Mitchem Tire
Pomme/Stockton season opener. Winning by just the
slimmest of margins Scott and Ashley take the season
opener with their five fish limit weighing 14.95 lbs.
Scott reports fishing Smithwick rouges on the calm
side of main lake windy points in the Big Sac. He
added that they made several rouge color changes
through out the day but couldn't credit any one color.

Allan Hutchinson, Ozark
MO and Charlie Starks, Springfield MO report culling
through 3 limits of keeper bass before determining
that they were weighing in their best five.
Their final weight of 11.94 lbs was just .01 lbs short
of first place. Stickbaits accounted for their first
limit but finesse fishing with soft plastics accounted
for the majority of their keepers.

Ron Varner, Buffalo MO
and Jeff Stidham, Buffalo MO weigh in the tournaments
largest bass. Ron reports catching the bass on a 1/2
oz CHOMPERS football jig, Davenport Special in color
trailed with a twin tail grub at approximately 9 am in
the dam area. Water temperature reported was 39

Wayne Fowler was the
tournaments highest finishing Charger Boats owner,
Wayne received $200.00 additional monies for fishing
from his 496 Charger boat. Pro Packs provided by
Chompers, Seaguar and Joe Bass Team Trail. Marc Rogers
owner and operator of Midwest Fishing Tackle attended
this event and donated a $25.00 gift certificate good
on-line at
www.midwestfishingtackle.net
Host lodging on Stockton Lake provided by Southwinds
Motel, phone 417-637-5505 and make your reservations
for the next Stockton tournament April 6th taking out
of new State Park at 6:30 am.
Our next
Mitchem Tire Pomme/Stockton event will be
March 15th on Pomme De Terre taking off from
Lighthouse at 7 am weighing back in at 3 pm.
