HEATS UP
Jerry Jones & Craig Burrell weigh in limit.
Keeper bass have been hard to come by on Pomme.
Reading tournament results on
7/24 Outdoors would deter most anglers from
fishing, however18 hearty teams took off at 7 am on
the morning of March 15, 2008 testing team skill and
determination verses cold rains, cold muddy water, and
wind in pursuit of just a keeper.

Finding the right
combination of homemade jigs and Zoom trailers
Jerry Jones, Conway MO and Craig Burrell,
Marshfield MO cull through 7 keepers for a final
five weighing 12.81 lbs. Anchoring their limit was
the tournaments second big bass of 4.73 lbs. Jerry
reports fishing 45 degree, sloping banks on the
Lindley side of the lake. Craig adds that all of
their keepers came before noon.

grubs very shallow on the Pomme side for their 5

Wayne reports a very good day, catching as many as
30 bass throughout the day on Chompers jigs and

Eric Dearduff,
Imperial MO and Dennis Kube, Barnhart MO weigh in
just 1 bass. Just so happens it was the largest
bass of the tournament. Dennis reports catching
the bass just minutes before the conclusion of the
tournament. I was using my homemade jig trailed
with a Chompers twin tail, reports Dennis.

Mitchem Tire Pomme/Stockton event will
be April 6th on Stockton taking off from new State
Park at 6:30 am weighing back in at 3 pm. |
