Sport Boats USA Table Rock Division Joe Bass Team Trail August 7, 2011
The last tournament for the Sport Boats USA Table Rock Division was August 7, 2011. Temperatures still sweltering and the fishing slowing down didn’t stop 34 teams from showing up Sunday to try their luck.
1st Place
Coming out on top was the team of Rusty Darnell & Loy Galloway. They fished the new Chompers Ledge Hopper Shaky head jig paired with Chompers Magnum Hawg 10” worms to catch the winning weight of 14.91 pounds. Their 4.39 pound big bass was enough to break the first place tie with the second place team. They would like to thank Chompers, Hummingbird, Joe Bass Team Trail, Redneck Decks, Skeeter, Yamaha, Juice Plus and US Reels.
2nd Place
Second place went to the team of Chris Hughes & Dan Fenton with a total weight of 14.91 pounds. They fished crank baits and big worms to catch their limit.
3rd Place
Third place and second big bass went to the team of Ryan Groeteke & Trace Hannaford with a total weight of 14.50 pounds.
1st Big Bass
Fourth place and the Dennis Hanks Big Bass of the tournament went to Mike & Josh Bruton. Total weight 14.17 pounds and big bass 5.62 pounds.
A big thank you goes to Sport Boats USA for providing the release boat. The anglers all took very good care of their catch were released back into the lake for another day.
Host lodging for the Table Rock division is the Kimberling Inn. Call them now to reserve your rooms for the invitational October 22 & 23.
The next Joe Bass tournament on Table Rock will be the last chance tournament on September 25. If you need another tournament to qualify for the invitational, you should plan on being there for this one. The fishing should be great.
