The 2008 JOE BASS Table Rock division kicked off with
less than stellar conditions, pouring rain adding to
the already high water conditions of Table Rock at
take off wouldn't deter the 19 teams from their search
for Big JOE BASS. Ahoy's
boat
docks were inaccessible and the
Kimberling City bridge hovered just above the
lake.

Jim Bruffy, Springfield MO and Craig Dort,
Rogersville MO win the Sport Boats USA Table Rock
season opener with a very impressive five fish limit
weighing 20.18 lbs. Jim's second place 5.27 lb
largemouth anchored their limit. Jim reports fishing
the flooded brush found from the Kimberling City area
to the dam at depths of 3 - 4 feet with CHOMPERS®
spinnerbaits. (see
below for more information on spinnerbaits) Craig adds that they had no shorts all
day and culled through 16 keepers.

Wayne Fowler and Mike Edwards,
Springfield MO team up to compete in the Table Rock
division. Wayne beams with the knowledge of a 5 fish
limit reports traveling past Big M in his new Charger
boat searching for the stained colored waters found in
pre-fishing. "Our first limit was in the boat at
8:30." said Wayne. Mike adds they had 14 keepers on
the undisclosed spinnerbait. The second of only two
limits weighed at the tournament totaled 15.48 lbs.

Scott Bailey, Green Forest AR
and Aaron Stanphill, Bella Vista AR report fishing a
whole bunch of points between the Kimberling City area
and the dam for their four bass weighing 10.20 lbs.
Aaron adds that they had their fifth keeper on
numerous times but failed to put it in the boat. 5/8
oz Eakins football jigs trailed with Chompers twin
tail grubs in peanut butter color accounted for all
keepers. Both report finding their fish in 12 -
20 foot depths. |

Jack Stack, Springfield MO and Dick Collier,
Kimberling City MO weigh in the tournaments largest
bass weighing 6.50 lbs. Dick reports fishing all day
for just one bite. "The problem is the fish are so
shallow you can't get to them." said Dick. The Big JOE
BASS reportedly hit Dick's black and silver with
orange belly rouge in the Baxter area around 10 am. |
Wayne Fowler was the tournaments highest finishing
Charger Boats owner, Wayne received $200.00 additional
monies for fishing from his 496 Charger boat. Pro
