1st Place TEAM CHAMPIONS – Stockton Division anglers Brandon Rummel, Everton MO and Jessie Tate, Willard MO were the only team to weigh-in a 5 fish limit both days of competition. That consistency resulted in their 1st Place finish at the 2009 JOE BASS Team Trail Championship. They report fishing the Grand arm with spinnerbaits shallow in the kuckleburs.The team is sponsored by Rummel Limousine. They won a new Triton bass boat, equipped with Mercury 150 Opti, MotorGuide, Lowrance and Interstate Batteries.
2nd Place – Brothers Calvin Rantz & Curtis Rantz, California MO report catching their fish at depths of 15 – 20 feet on main lake points in the Long Shoal area with MoMan tubes and brush hogs. This team acknowledged no sponsors but Curtis was quick to credit his wife Christina for her support of his fishing. Curtis and Calvin were first day leaders which won them two custom rods provided by Reel Hot Rods.
3rd Place – David Ryan, Levacy MO & Justin Miller, Grain Valley MO weigh in the largest bass of Day 2 weighing 6.17 lbs along with four other keepers for a one day total of 18.12 lbs combined with day 1, 6.47 lbs pushes them into third place overall with a 24.59 two day total. Ryan explains that the Grand arm did not work for them the 1st day knowing that they switched up day 2 and fished the Big Pomme arm with Dave’s Custom Baits spinnerbaits.
