Lake of the Ozarks was very tough and Foggy today! On our 5th stop of the Joe Bass Team Trail Ozarks Division sponsored by Motion Fishing, the teams show up to a beautiful Ozark morning in Warsaw MO as It started out in the upper 50s then climbed into the low 80s with light winds.
In our Top spot for the day is the Team of Ron Peek and Grieg Engle with only 4 fish weighing in at 14.57lbs. This duo was on the right sized fish to capture the win!. Ron Stated the team tried to stay close to the boat ramp but couldn’t get anything going so they moved on down the lake and started fishing shallow docks with plastics catching fish on the shady sides in 76 degree water temps. The Team would like to thank Daiwa for the sponsorship.
Our 2nd Place team for the day went Andrew Eisterhold and Kaden Zimmerman with 12.81lbs. This team had a great day as you can see from the picture. Andrew stated they stayed close to the ramp all day with water temps in the low 80s with all the teams fish being caught on shallow docks using beaver style baits.
Rounding out our top 3 today is the defending division champs Fred Jobe and Tom Shewey with a total weight of 11.83lbs. Fred Stated they caught fish all day on a 1/2oz Black and Blue Jig and in 78 degree water temps. The team didn’t have the first keeper in the boat till 10:15am. Fred would like to thank Boat-Wrx, Daiwa and Caymas boats for the sponsorship.
Our NAPA big bas of the day went to the team of Brandon Rowland and Russel Nigh with a 5.76lb largemouth.
The Top Skeeter of the day went to Ralph Laster. Ralph had proved it pays to run a Skeeter boat!!
