Winter finally backing off and the anglers of Joe Bass Team Trail were up for the challenge of upper 40 degree water. Most of the anglers with good success stayed mid-lake and used the infamous Alabama Rig.
John Cate and Mike Edwards put together a solid bag that weighed 19.99lbs to take home the first place winnings. They didn’t stop there because they were fishing out of John’s 2017 ZX250 Skeeter that earned them the Top Finishing Skeeter Monies.
The seasoned team of Mike Frye, Shawnee, KS and Mike Landwehr, Wichita, KS have fished together for sometime and today put a good string of 5 together that weighed 17.25lbs.
Bill Hayford and Peyton Rose, both from Bella Vista, AR, new members to Joe Bass brought in a sack of 5 that hit the scales at 15.88lbs.
The team of Craig Dort and Tony Johnston brought in the OZARK CHEVROLET BIG BASS OF THE DAY that weighed 4.89lbs. Tony caught the fish on his A-rig about noon. Tony is also a proud member of Arvest Bank which earned him the Arvest Big Bass Bonus.
