05/06/18 Stockton

Quite the change in weather from the sleet and snow in the first tournament, today was sunny and 80 degrees. The fish were in all stages of the spawn and the anglers from Joe Bass Team Trail found limits with ease. The only draw back was the sizes were small. Big fish were hard to find, but the top team proved why they were last years Mitchem Tire Stockton Division winners. Jim Davidson and Mike Ashbacher, both of Arma, KS, sponsored by Albers Marine, Nitro, Mercury, Lews, Pro Guide Batteries and War Eagle, used jigs in 10 ft. or less in the brush to catch their 5 fish limit that weighed 15.42lbs.

Following close behind was the team of David Hathaway and Dustin Hall, Fort Scott, KS, sponsored by Albers Marine, Ron Hurd Construction and Castaway Rods, had a 5 fish limit that weighed 15.18lbs. They found a top water bite early and used this pattern through out the day along with senkos to bring in their fish. They also had the OZARK CHEVROLET BIG BASS of the day. This fish hit the scale at 5.34lbs. She hit a spook early in the morning.

Tim Hintenach, Jefferson City, MO and Dustin Hinkle, Lowry City, MO, used jigs in all depths to catch a 5 fish limit that weighed 13.07lbs. This earned them 3rd place. Dan Cox, Bolivar, MO, fished out of his 2002 SX190 Skeeter and finished in 9th place to earn the JOE BASS TOP FINISHING SKEETER MONEY.
