Lake of the Ozarks was very tough today! On our 4th stop of the Joe Bass Team Trail Ozarks Division sponsored by Motion Fishing, the teams show up to a beautiful Ozark morning in Warsaw MO as It started out in the upper 60s then climbed into the low 90s with several pop-up showers throughout the day. The changing weather made the day very challenging for the teams but as usual the Joe Bass anglers figured them out.
In our Top spot for the day and for the teams 2nd win on the season the Team of Anthony (Nino) Scoma and Barry Scoma brought in a total weight of 15.74lbs. Nino stated the team ran down the lake between 15 and 20 miles away from the takeoff to gather the days limit fishing in water temps from 80 to 85 degrees. Nino said they caught all the days keepers from 10:30am and 1:30pm and keyed on driftwood that had made it onto flats with soft plastics to get the days limit. The Team would like to Thank Rogers Sporting Goods for the sponsorship for the year.
Our 2nd Place team for the day went to the Father son duo of Andre Dickneite and Noah Dickneite with 15.00lbs. This team had a great day as you can see from the picture. Andre stated they caught the limit on a worm in 10 feet of water with temps ranging between 80 to 83 degrees from 9am to 1pm.The Team would like to thank some sponsors. Rounding out our top 3 today is the defending division champs Fred Jobe and Tom Shewey with a total weight of 13.39lbs. Fred Stated they caught fish all day on a 10 inch worm, Jig and Square Bill crankbait down around the 57 mile marker in 80 degree water temps. Fred would like to thank Boat-Wrx and Caymas boats for the sponsorship.
Our NAPA big bass of the day went to the team of Kelly Nunn and Jamie Edge with a 4.76lb largemouth. Jamie caught this fish on a Buzzbait off of a dock around 1pm as the storms passed through.
The Top Skeeter of the day went to Jamie Duncan. Jamie continues to show why it pays to run a Skeeter boat!!
