Pomme de terre lake is just plain fun to fish. Scorching hot temperatures were only made comfortable with a constant breeze throughout the day. The fishing was good shallow to deep, patterns were varied and the bags were big.
Kelly Jones and Roger Satterfield bested the crowd with 5 bass weighing 16.25lbs. They report fishing at depths of 2-4 ft with square bills and jigs in both arms of Pomme. Kelly’s 2019 250 FX21 was also the top finishing Skeeter resulting in an additional $5oo from SportBoats USA.
Brad Jelinek and Josh Reno went totally opposite and fished their worms and jigs at depths of 30ft in the Pomme arm.
Cody Campbell and Quinten Carr found shallow water to their liking throwing buzzbaits and big worms in the Lindy arm.
Ryan Fritz weighed in the tournament Ozark Chevrolet Big Bass fishing crankbaits on the main lake.
Our next Pomme event will be Aug 29th taking off from The Harbor at 6am. Lets continue to support the facility and pay your launch fees.
