07/25/26 Stockton

A steadily falling lake, a front passage and oppressive heat set the stage for the penultimate event of the 2026 Stockton sponsored by Albers Marine, Inc. Teams reported poor practices with bites being hard to come by. With the season beginning to wind down, everyone was set to push hard to see their names atop the Window World Leaderboard as well as garnering valuable qualifying points for the Invitational to be held on Truman in October.

Kelly Jones and Roger Satterfield extended their points lead in the Open Division by proving their mettle on a tough fishing day. Kelly and Roger brought in a five fish limit that locked in at 13.68 pounds. Roger noted their Albers Marine key to success was revisiting areas he had pre-fished earlier in the week without success. Feeling like the fish were there in practice, despite note catching them, convinced them to repeat their milk run with jigs, worms and squarebills triggering strikes early. They anchored their bag with the Wilson Logistics big bass of the event which weighed 4.35 pounds which they caught on a jig. Not to leave any money on the table, Kelly and Roger wrangled another Top Skeeter award as they fished from Roger’s 2022 ZXR21 Skeeter.

Seth Glenn and KJ Huges took the runner-up position with a limit that weighed in at 10.96 pounds. They used the second place big bass of the day, a 4.13 pound kicker, to bolster their sack. They junk fished catching fish on a big worm in standing timber utilizing both Texas and Carolina rig setups.

Jim Davidson and Mike Ashbacker rounded out the top three finishers. Their limit of bass pushed the scales to 10.57 pounds. Mike shared they caught fish on jigs on bluffs and on spinnerbaits in flood bushes.
