07/31/24 Antique

Man was it hot. Air tempertures hovered near 100 degrees with a slight morning wind that petered out in the afternoon. Many of the 38 teams took advantage of the optional 1pm weigh in time for this tournament.

Brett and Steve Rider take the final Antique Division tournament of 2024 with an impressive 17.30lbs. They report fishing football jigs at depths of 30ft in the Kimberling City area.

Danny and Jake Smith take second with their limit weighing  15.57lbs. Dragging big worms through know brush piles in the Cow Creek area worked for them. In addition their limit was anchored by the tournaments second big bass. The 4.90lbr was caught on a spoon in 30 ft of water.

Jeff Epley and Kelly Greer take third place and Top Skeeter. Fishing their first tournament in Kelly’s new 2024 FXR 21 purchased at Black Beard Marine they win an additional $500.00 Joe Bass Skeeter money.  Their weight was 15.40 lbs. Both report square bills and topwater bites in the Kimbeling City area at 2-3 ft of water.

John Huffman and Robert Waggoner take NAPA  1st Big Bass with John’s 5.87lb toad reportedly caught on a jig in the James River at a depth of 12ft.

Special thanks to Maybee Insurance & T-Bone Trucking, Window World , NAPA , Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet, Buick & GMC  and Skeeter Boats  for another fantastic tournament!

Kavan Maybee with Kaven Maybee insurance has once again agreed to sponsor the Antique Division so lets give Kavan a big shout out. Without a division sponsor there is no division so THANKS Kavan and T Bone Trucking.

Joe Bass Antique division will kick of in April of 2025. Watch the website for dates. FYI Joe Bass will no longer be doing any tournament in July on Table Rock, too hot, too many pleasure boaters. Months will be April, May, June, Aug, & Sept.
