A hot summer day with high heat index caused some discomfort for the anglers. The bass obviously were hard to find also. Using jigs and slow moving baits were the key baits for the team of Glenn Harrison and Kyle Kiister, Alma, KS. Glenn also had the OZARK CHEVROLET BIG BASS of the day. She weighed 6.37lbs. Glen said he caught her in a brush pile very deep and mid afternoon.
Luke Routh and Tyler Weaver, Humansville, MO, used ned rigs to catch 4 fish that weighed 12.26lbs. they had a 6.33lbs kicker.
The brother team of Ryan Groeteke, Nixa, MO and Brett Groeteke, Springfield, MO, fished mid lake to catch a 5 fish limit that weighed 11.53lbs earning them 3rd place. They are sponsored by Bass Pro, Bass Craft, Hellwig, Lews, Charlie Worms, Jewel Baits and River2Sea.
John Cates, Ozark, MO, used his newly purchased 2017 ZX250 from SPORT BOATS USA, to bring in 3.12lbs to earn the top finishing Skeeter monies of $1000.00 thanks to SportBoats USA.
