08/07/25 Stockton

Clear skies, light winds and moderate temperatures greeted the anglers that launched from Orleans Trail Resort & Marina for the final derby of the year in the Albers Marine sponsored Stockton Division. The recent cool down triggered a few of the bigger fish to start feeding as a half dozen four pounders were caught. Anglers did their part with fish care as all 80 fish weighed in were returned to the lake via the Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet, Buick & GMC live release boat. Teams definitely needed a kicker fish to go with a limit in order to find their name at the top the Window World Leaderboard, but every fish resulted in qualifying points for the upcoming Joe Bass Invitational to be held in October on Truman Lake out of  Bucksaw Resort and Marina.

Josh King and Logan Welch ended the year with another great finish as their Window World Leaderboard 20.76 bag topped the field. They noted their Albers Marine key to success was methodically dragging points with a jig and big worm. They anchored their winning bag with the Impel Union big bass award for their monster 6.26 pound largemouth.

Matthew Rogers and Connor Cunningham had a great day and took second place. Their tournament limit locked the scales at 17.91 pounds. They used BuckEye jigs on a deep pattern to catch their fish. Matthew and Connor are appreciative of the support they get from Truman Lake Marine.

Mike Johnson and Justin Angel rounded out the podium positions. They brought 5 keepers to the scales that weighed 13.96 pounds. Same as the other top finishers, they leaned on a jig and big worm fished deep to boat their limit.

Dan Cox and Tim Kastning took another check for Top Skeeter honors. They put 8.58 pounds of Stockton bass in Dan’s 2002 SX190 Skeeter bass boat by using Cox Custom Baits worms.
