73 teams launched from Shawnee Bend with appreciation of the break in the stifling heat that has smothered the Ozarks for the past several weeks. With only a pair of events left in the 2025 C&C Valley Transmission Truman division season, teams were faced with balancing swinging for the fence in hopes of seeing their names atop the Window World Leaderboard with ensuring they garner qualifying points for the Joe Bass Invitational to be held this fall from Bucksaw Resort and Marina.
Desmon Carl and Tyler Glenn bested the field as they brought a 20.39 limit to the weigh-in. Desmon shared their C&C Valley Transmission key to success was leaning on a big worm and jig to catch their fish. They caught their five fish limit later in the morning, as early and late proved fruitless for them. Desmon and Tyler enjoy the support BeatDown Outdoors.
Brad Jelinek and Brock Reinkemeyer wrangled the runner up position. Their catch locked the scales at 18.22 pounds. After some discussion of crappie bombs, the duo fessed up and said they caught their bag on a mix of big worms and jigs. Brad and Brock are backed by Angler’s Port Marina and Motion Fishing.
Reigning points leaders Brad Territo and Logan Carter secured third place with a five fish limit weighing 16.66 pounds. Logan said they caught their fish on a 10” worm on an afternoon bite. Their bag included the Impel Union big bass of the day. The 5.85 pound brute fell to the same worm presentation as the balance of their stringer. Brad and Logan are proud to represent Carters Construction, CrankWraps and Omega Custom Tackle.
Jordan Williams and Trevor Bartlett added to their 4th place check as they put their five fish limit that weighed 16.45 pounds in Jordan’s 2024 ZX200, giving them Top Skeeter honors for the day. They are sponsored by Expion 360 Lithium, Rugged Path Productions, and Wholesale Batteries.
