12/15/24 Ozarks

After a day of storms, 31 teams left Alhonna Resort to kick off the 2025 Window World sponsored, Lake of the Ozarks Division season. With post front conditions prevailing, dock talk suggested a tough bite, but with 18 pounds plus required to make the top three, the results proved there were fish to be caught for those that could put the puzzle pieces together. Case in point, of the 22 teams weighing fish, nearly half had a four pound or better kicker in their bag. Nonetheless, the stingy conditions emphasized the importance of every fish that provides qualifying points for the Joe Bass Invitational to be held next fall.

Dallas Stamper and Jason Hollandsworth topped the field with a 20.89 pound bag to take the win. They shared their Window World Secret to Success was leaning on a combination of a-rigs and jerkbaits to catch their fish. Their 5.58 pound kicker was the Impel Union big bass of the event. Dallas and Jason noted they worked through 8 keepers to get to their final weight with the bulk coming during a midday rally.

Reigning division champions, Cole McFarland and Ryan Jordan took the runner up position. Catching over a dozen keepers on an all day bite, their best five locked the scales at 18.92 pounds. Cole and Ryan slung an a-rig to catch their fish.

Andy Newcomb and Kevin Freeze rounded out the podium positions. They logged a 18.46 pound bag. Using an a-rig, Andy and Kevin said they boated 15 keepers on an all day bite.

BASS Elite Pro Tyler Williams garnered the Skeeter Boat check by putting 14.13 pounds in his brand new 2025 FXR 21 Pro Skeeter bass boat. Tyler worked to his strengths, leaning on a jig and jerkbait to boat his fish. With only 2 fish in the Skeeter at 1:00, Tyler had an afternoon flurry as he caught the balance of his bag working his way back to Alhonna for weigh-in.

The next event of the Lake of the Ozarks Division will take place on Sunday January 12 with a 7:30am takeoff from Alhonna Resort.
