03/09/19 Table Rock

The 2019 Joe Bass Team Trail Tablerock Division sponsored by CHOMPERS finally got kicked off after a winter weather cancellation. Mother nature continued to throw out obstacles with rain and forecasted high winds on this season opener. The rain cleared and then came the winds as predicted. 35 teams chose to accept the challenge and put their skills to test. With water temps in the low 40’s, the bait of choice for the day appeared to be the A-rig. The team of Aaron Hodge and James Bailey, both of Harrison, AR used the bait to bring in a 5 fish limit that weighed 24.72lbs. They also had the OZARK CHEVROLET BIG BASS of the DAY, that weighed 6.83lbs. James stated they stayed mid lake to catch their bag.

Todd Choate, Springfield, MO and Kent Whitaker, Billings, MO, fished mid lake to bring in a 5 fish limit that weighed 18.04lbs to earn them 2nd place.

Cody Ellison, Fordland, MO and Cody Huff, Ava, MO, fished close to get a limit and then they made the track up the James River only to figure ouit they were going to have a rough boat ride home. They had a 5 fish limit that weighed 17.50lbs to take home 3rd place.

Terry Letterman, Springfield, MO, fished out of his 2018 FX21 Skeeter and weighed in 15.30lbs to be the highest finishing Skeeter earning his team the JOE BASS TOP SKEETER award.
