A cloudy day with intermittent showers but mild temperatures was good for the anglers. The water was up a few feet and in the bushes. Top water bites and shaky heads appeared to be the key baits coming into play as most fish were around the spawning areas.
Josh Shirley and Don Sanders, both of Cabot, AR sponsored by AC Sports, AJ Auto Sales, Arvest Bank. Owens Orthodonics, Real Time Pain Relief and Woodmen of America, brought in a 5 fish limit that top the scales at 17.33lbs to take home first place. The team also caught a 4.19lbs largemouth to capture the OZARK CHEVROLET BIG BASS of the day.
Gerald McDaniel, Branson, Mo and Jeff Pascoe, Blue Eye, MO, had the runner up bag of 5 fish that weighed 14.85lbs good enough for second place. Fishing out of his 2018 Skeeter ZX250 earned Gerald the Sport Boats USA Highest Finishing Skeeter.
Matt Ceasar, Walnut Shade, MO brought Ed Larson, Galena, MO out of retirement to fish and brought in a stringer that weighed 14.05lbs to finish in third spot. A special thanks to Ed as he is the owner of CHOMPERS, the official sponsor of the Joe Bass Table Rock Division.
