05/10/23 Antique

Aaron Hodge & Gregory Schmidt take 1st with a strong five fish limit weighing 21.53 lbs anchored by the 1st Place NAPA Bass of 5.74lbs. Aaron and Gregory had met just the week prior on a guide trip. Gregory is in stage 4 cancer treatment and a Vietnam veteran. Gregory wanted to fish another day with Aaron but the only day he had open was the Wednesday of this Joe Bass Team Trail tournament. They agreed to fish and the rest is history. An all day topwater bite along with a Jewel prototype football jig was used at depths of very shallow to 20 ft.

Greg Wood & Mike Gold fished topwaters from the Kimberling City area to the dam catching numerous keepers for their best five weighing in at 15.84lbs.

Greg Snider & Tim Lane report swimbaits and topwaters worked for them culling through 5 limits before weighing in their final five of 15.72 lbs. 71 degree water temperature in the White River.

Proving it pays to run a Skeeter, Top Skeeter honors go to Kelly Jones & Roger Satterfield along with 4th they win an additional $250 from Joe Bass Team Trail. Note the tournament Top Skeeter award is paid by Joe Bass at each event and not associated with the Skeeter Real Money which offers much more.

Special thanks to Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet, Buick & GMC in West Plains for sponsoring the live release boat.

The fourth event of the Antique Division will be June 14 with a 6:00 takeoff from Ahoys.  Be sure and show up early to ensure you have plenty of time to check in and launch prior to take-off.

Ice cold water provided by Joe Bass Team Trail staff.
