06/04/25 Antique

With the lake 10’ higher than it was only a few weeks ago, anglers were forced to scramble as the site of the June Antique division was relocated from Aunt’s Creek to Mill Creek due to facilities being inundated with the flooded conditions.  Similarly, they had to determine the effect of the high water on typical seasonal patterns.   34 teams departed from takeoff with the hopes of finding their names at the top of the Window World  Leaderboard.   With the ever-changing conditions, and the divisional season past the midway point, every keeper boated gleaned teams qualifying points for the Joe Bass Invitational to be held this fall on Truman Lake.

Division sponsors Kavan Maybee and Mike Smith proved their mettle on The Rock as they brought a five fish limit weighing 19.09 pounds to the scales.  They anchored their bag with the Impel Union big bass of the day, a giant 6.53 pound largemouth.  They noted their Maybee Insurance & T-Bone Trucking key to success was flipping creature baits to catch their fish.

Greg Snider and Tim Lane had a super day on the lake, taking the runner up spot with a 17.96 limit.  The fact their big fish weighed 3.90 was indicative of the overall quality of the remaining fish.  Greg and Tim leaned on a jig all day to boat their fish.  They are thankful for the support they have from BaitWRX.

Chad Morgenthaler teamed with Mike McCelland who subbed for Dave Mansue.  Their third place finish kept the team on top of the division points chase.  To take third place, Chad and Mike flipped soft plastics, including a Missile Baits Baby D Bomb to end the day with 15.54 pounds.

Gerald McDaniel and Jeff Pascoe secured the Top Skeeter award.  They flipped Texas-rigged plastics in boat docks to put 13.99 pounds into Gerald’s 2024 ZXR250 Skeeter.

Thank you Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet, Buick & GMC for sponsoring the release boat!
