08/09/20 Stockton

Summer days at Stockton usually means the fish go deep. Experienced anglers that fish the JOE BASS TEAM TRAIL MITCHEM TIRE Stockton Division know ledges and brush piles are the places to find the good ones. This day the Joe Bass anglers knew the structure but the depth was across the board from 5 to 25 feet deep due in part by the scattered showers then sunshine that followed. Early in the AM, some also had some good topwater bites going on.

The 1st Place team of Mark Moody, Girard, KS and Kyle Kiister, Arma, KS, sponsored by Albers Marine, Inc., Denali Rods, WooTungsten, Brewers Prop Service, Thunderbait Bed liners and accessories, and Kannarr Eye Clinic, used jigs and soft plastics. They hit brush and ledges in 5-15 feet of water. The team also produced the Ozark Chevrolet Big Bass of the day that weighed 5.06 lbs. Their 5 fish limit hit the scales 18.22lbs.

The seasoned team of Chris Macy and Tim Lawyer, the 2018 Mitchem Tire Stockton division champions, brought in a sack that weighed 16.98lbs. Chris stated they fished structure all day for their limit. The bite got better after the sun came out and the light rain pushed out.

The up and coming team of Brad Jelinek and Brock Reinkemeyer ( yes the same team that brought home the Bassmaster Team championship trophy) caught a 5 fish limit that earned them 3rd place. They are sponsored by Anglers Port and Motion Fishing jigs. They fished out of Brock’s 2008 20i Skeeter which got them the highest finishing Skeeter monies.
