08/23/25 Pomme

Anglers were greeted with a break from the stifling heat of the past weeks as 41 teams gathered at The Harbor in hopes of seeing their name at the top of the Window World Leaderboard at day’s end. With the water levels down and the ever-present boat traffic, it would take a bit of ingenuity to come out on top. However, with the season winding down, every fish adds to one’s qualifying points for the Joe Bass Invitational to be held this fall on Truman Lake.

Noah and Andre Dickniete took top honors as they brought 17.43 pounds of bass to the scales. Details were a bit hard to come by, but it appears Team Dickniete’s TNT Quick Stop key to success was short-lining plastics to draw strikes in the upper reaches of the lake.

Denis and Alec Repa were just behind the leaders as their five fish limit locked in at 16.48 pounds. Their bag included the 2nd place big bass of the day, a stout 5.60 largemouth that bit at 11:45. Denis shared they caught fish on a jig, brush hog, and topwater early in the day, as their afternoon bite fizzled.

Jerry Roark and Jamie Edge leveraged their years of experience on Pomme de Terre to round out the top three. They bagged 15.20 pounds of fish. Jerry explained they had to weed through a lot of shorts to get their five keeper bites. They focused shallow with a Senko.

Tyler Eagan and Nick Cortez added to their 7th place check by securing Top Skeeter honors. They fished jigs on bluff walls to put 12.34 pounds of bass in Tyler’s 2019 ZX250.

Greg Askew and Terry Case cashed another pair of Pomme checks as they anchored their 4th place stringer with the Impel Union big bass of the day. The 5.98 pound largemouth bit a brush hog around 1:00pm to fill out their tournament limit. Greg and Terry are proud to represent Case Works.
